Spectrum One Fourier Transform Infrared spectrometer
Function and Application:
The FT-IR spectrum can be obtained from a solid /liquid/film sample with Spectrum One. There are three accessories for Spectrum One: the Horizontal Attenuated Total Reflectance (HATR) Sampling Accessory, Variable-Angle Specular Reflectance Accessory and Advanced Grazing Angle Specular Reflectance Accessory. The HATR is an internal reflection accessory; the technique is non-destructive and ideal for measuring homogenous solid samples, solid surfaces and coatings on solid samples.The Variable-Angle Specular Reflectance Accessory allows you to obtain a spectrum of any flat, reflecting surface on plate or sheet material at angles of incidence between 25° and 70° FT-IR. Advanced Grazing Angle Specular Reflectance Accessory is a very demanding application, measurement of very thin layers, down to monomolecular coverage on reflective surfaces. Thin layers for catalytic studies, coatings on medical devices, biological and chemical sensors all need to verify coating thickness and quality. All of these applications can benefit from grazing angle measurements.
