Nanoscale First Issue Free Online

The very first issue of Nanoscale, including twenty papers of the highest quality from all areas of nanoscience, has just been published online at www.rsc.org/nanoscale and free to access. The inaugural issue of this top quality new journal from RSC Publishing showcases work by some of the very best research groups in the world, including those of Professor Sir Fraser Stoddart and Professors C.N.R. Rao, Markus Antonietti, Kazunari Domen, Luis Liz-Marzán, and Naomi Halas. After such an exceptional start we are confident that Nanoscale will continue to attract work of the highest quality and impact, and will be read by researchers across all the nano- communities it serves.

Following the enthusiastic welcome that Nanoscale has received from the scientific community and the flux of high quality work being submitted to the journal, we are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Associate Editor, Jianfang Wang of the Department of Physics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Wang and Editors-in-Chief Professor Chunli Bai - NCNST Beijing, Professor Markus Niederberger - ETH Zurich, Professor Francesco Stellacci - MIT will be happy to receive submissions covering all aspects of nanoscale research.

Nanoscale is published monthly by the Royal Society of Chemistry, in collaboration with National Center for Nanoscience & Technology, China. It is intended to bridge the various disciplines involved with nanoscience and nanotechnology, and to provide a forum for sharing high quality research results and discourse.  If accepted for publication, your article will be free-to-access for everyone, and will additionally benefit from huge exposure; we will be extensively promoting the journal, including printing many thousands of promotional copies of the early issues to be sent to relevant researchers and key figures around the world and to be displayed at appropriate scientific conferences. If accepted for publication we are happy to give you free copies of the print issue in which your article appears, as well as send copies of the issue to any researchers and conferences of your choosing, for maximum visibility.

All Chinese submissions will by Editors-in-Chief  Professor Bai’s editorial office, and will be rigorously peer-reviewed by international expert referees in the normal way. Papers will be published online in a fully citable form as soon as they are ready, and in print shortly afterwards. Nanoscale will be fully-indexed in ISI and all other leading databases.
