Future Scientists Forum: Student Innovation

The Student Innovation Forum is an event designed to motivate students to engage in peer reviewed research. This is a special forum of the Nanotoxicology 2012 that invites graduate students from all relevant disciplines to explore topics of interest and to share projects in an atmosphere of diversity. The Student Innovation Forum will take place on September 5th, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Student oral-presentation in this forum will also be considered for Outstanding Young Scholar Award competition.

Target Applicant: Graduate student
Application Closing Date: Deadline for abstract submission
Announcement of Acceptance of Presentation: Before June 15
Results Available: At the closing ceremony of the Nanotoxicology 2012

AWARD CRITERIA
1. The applicant must be the presenting, and one of the authors of the submitted abstract. 
2. The applicant must be a graduate student.
3. The abstract must not be entered for consideration for any other Nanotoxicology 2012 awards.
4. Awards will be given for excellence, reflected in the academic content, presentation and defence quality of the oral presentation.

PRESENTATION DURATION
Each presentation will last 10 minutes - 8 minutes for the student presentation and 2 minutes for discussion.  

PRESENTATION FORMAT AND HANDLING
We accept the version of Microsoft® Powerpoint presentations.

By the time you check-in in the Nanotoxicology 2012 Meeting, you should handle a copy of your presentation. This is just a safety procedure, just to make sure there is one copy of your work available. You may update your presentation afterwards, however you should handle the final version of your presentation before 5:30 on September 5th, 2012. If you handle your presentation later, we may not have enough time to solve any technical issue that may arise regarding your presentation.
