On February 8, 2026, representatives from the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST) and the Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS) held a virtual coordination meeting to finalize arrangements for the upcoming NCNST delegation visit to WIS during NanoIL 2026.

The NCNST team included Prof. Xinghua Shi, Deputy Director of NCNST; Prof. Xinfeng Liu, Head of the Department of Science and Technology at NCNST; and Dr. Caoyu Yang, Officer for International Affairs at NCNST. WIS was represented by Ms. Rachel Bauman, Head of International Cooperation; Ms. Adi Berger, Visit Coordinator; and Prof. Milko van der Boom, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry.

Both sides confirmed the visit for the morning of March 10, which will feature high-level institutional dialogues and meetings with key scientists, including Prof. Rony Paz, Vice President of WIS; Prof. Ron Naaman of the Department of Chemical and Biological Physics; and Prof. H. Daniel Wagner, Professor Emeritus. Discussions also focused on future collaboration directions, including exploring joint working documents, learning from WIS's technology transfer experience, and facilitating future visits of WIS leadership to China. 

The visit aims to revitalize the long-standing partnership and lay the foundation for deeper strategic cooperation.
