On October 22, 2026, an eight-member delegation led by Mr. Harsh Jegadeesan, Chief Publishing Officer of Springer Nature, visited the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, China (NCNST), holding in-depth exchanges on scholarly publishing cooperation. The delegation included Joe Bennett, Director of Publishing Strategy of Springer Nature, and Ruth Wilson, Director of Publishing Strategy of Nature Portfolio.

Prof. Xinghua Shi, Deputy Director of NCNST, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. In his remarks, he reviewed the long-standing cooperation between the two sides. He noted that NCNST is actively preparing for the 11th International Conference on Nanoscience and Technology, China (ChinaNANO 2027), and looks forward to deepening cooperation with Springer Nature and strengthening the connection between researchers and scholarly publishing. He also encouraged NCNST's early-career researchers to take a greater part in scholarly publishing activities.

At the meeting, Mr. Jegadeesan delivered a presentation titled "Advancing Nanoscience through Springer Nature's High-Quality Journals". The two sides then held discussions on researcher-editor engagement and collaboration, and opportunities for cooperation in academic events such as ChinaNANO. The delegation also toured laboratories and research platforms of NCNST.

The visit further consolidated the long-standing friendly cooperation between NCNST and Springer Nature, and will further promote the international dissemination and academic impact of NCNST's outstanding research achievements.
