Education and Professional Experience:

Prof. Guangjun Nie is a Principal Investigator at National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST), China and an Associate Editor of Nano Letters. He received his B.S. degree from Northeast Normal University in 1996, followed by an M.S. degree from Jilin University in 1999. In 2000, he was a Visiting Scholar of the Institute of Food Research, UK. In 2002, he obtained his PhD degree from the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 2002 to 2008, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Jewish General Hospital, McGill University, Canada. Currently, he is a Full Professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). Professor Nie was awarded the National Distinguished Youth Scientist award in 2013. Dr. Nie was a Chief Scientist of the MoST National Basic Research Program from 2012-2016 and will hold this title again from 2018-2022.
