From 2005 to 2014, Teng GAO completed undergraduate and doctoral studies at the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering of Peking University and obtained a Doctor of Science degree, under the supervision of Academician Zhongfan Liu and Prof. Yanfeng Zhang, with main research focus on the controllable preparation and fine characterization of two-dimensional materials; from 2014 to 2020, he conducted postdoctoral research in the research group of Academician Charles Lieber at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology of Harvard University, primarily involving the development of biosensing in physiological environments and novel brain neural probes.
Prof. Teng GAO joined the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology in July 2020.
