Education and Professional Experience:

Prof. Dr. Peng JIANG received BS and MS degrees in Chemistry from Lanzhou University, China, in 1990 and 1993, respectively. After that, he obtained a PhD degree in physical chemistry from Peking University in 1999, and was then a postdoctoral researcher in Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, from 1999 to 2001. He joined Fritz-Haber-Institut der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft, Germany, as a postdoctoral associate from 2001 to 2003 and a research scientist inNagoya University, Japan, from 2003 to 2004. In 2004, he became an associate professor in the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology of China. He was a visiting scholar at CEA, CNRS, Lab Organ Nanostruct & Semicond, France, from 2005 to 2006 and a visiting professor in Kyushu University, Japan in 2007. He currently is a full professor in the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology of China. His research interests include scanning tunneling microscopy, molecular assembly, green nanoenergy, supercapacitor, Li-ion battery, synthesis, physical and chemical properties of metal and semiconductor nanomaterials.
